Mexican eagle weaving, blue and grey striped ground
Tissage plat mexicain à motif d'aigle central, ailes déployées et serpent rouge au bec, sur un fond de rayures bleu marine, gris et blanc. Le mot « MEXI… » est tissé dans la trame au bas de la pièce — la provenance n'est pas une supposition. Motifs géométriques en losanges à droite du rapace. Se porte en jeté, s'accroche en tenture ou se pose au sol. Trois tissages différents sont proposés — les trois ensemble : 100 $.
Mexican flat weave with a central eagle motif, wings spread and a red serpent in its beak, on a ground of navy, grey and white stripes. The word « MEXI… » is woven into the weft at the foot of the piece — the origin is not a guess. Diamond geometric motifs to the right of the bird. In the family of Mexican weavings known as Saltillo or Zapotec; workshop and date unidentified. Not verified: wool or acrylic, and the dimensions — measure on site. Wear it as a throw, hang it, or lay it on the floor. All three weavings together: $100.
